3/19 First Day!

We worked on no jumping today! Sunny did very well and although she was very excited, progressed with being able to keep all four paws on the floor! She’s such a sweet, happy-go-lucky gal! Remy Remy

3/22 No Jumping

Sunny worked very hard in this session, and while she had some trouble with not jumping up, we were able to work through it. We even progressed to doing no jumping with the added distraction of me carrying around an exciting ball. Once she got a little more comfortable with that, I even used the ball as a reward for her not jumping. She would have to sit still for a few seconds without jumping up on me to try to get the ball, and then I would release her from her sit and throw the ball for her. If she broke from that sit we simply started over. A lot of good progress for Sunny today. – Abby

3/22 Basics // “Off”

Sunny did a great job with this. We worked on an “off” command, but also worked some on “look”, towards the end of our session. Overall, well done! Remy

3/26 “4 on the Floor”

Today we worked on reviewing some exercises for Sunny to practice keeping all four feet down. She did a very nice job, though she was excited she started picking up on the idea and was able to follow me around with no jumps!

3/26 Loose Leash Walking

We practiced this outside, with lots of distractions around. We ended up working on “look” more than practicing loose leash walking. Sunny did a super job with this and I was very pleased with her focus. Remy

Worked on recalls and no jumping today. She is doing very well on recalls but still needs some practice with no jumping. Please have a look at the video to see how we worked on that. Just as a side note, at the end of the video the garbage truck was outside. Sunny was not very happy about that. I did take her away from the noise and give her lots of treats and told she was ok. I did try and make it as pleasant as possible for her, and she did much better with it all. – Joe

3/28 Choose to heel

Sunny and I worked on choose to heel today and she did really well. She was very focused, but she had trouble picking a side. I think working on this really consistently as well as finding a herding outlet for her will help a lot with her leash skills! -Amanda

4/3 Simon Says

Sunny and I worked with Loki today and she did great! She was very brave and sniffed him a couple times! -Amanda

4/3 Buddy Walk with Skipper

We practiced “look at that”, as well as socializing with Skipper. Sunny was hesitant, but warmed up throughout our session. Remy
